Marian Owerko, a present Head of Supervisory Board of Bakalland, with his two friends from the university establish Uno Tradex company.
First deliveries of dried fruit under UNO brand to retail stores: Globi and Społem are realised.
Uno Tradex takes over several smaller companies, i. a. Fresco, a dried fruit importer, widening its product portfolio. In 2000, sales reaches 60m PLN.
Uno Fresco Tradex moves its head office to Bakaliowa Str. in Mościski and concentrates on developing Bakalland brand. Outdoor and TV campaigns result in dynamic market share growth.
The company changes its name to Bakalland and enters Warsaw Stock Exchange. It also takes over 3 more companies: Solger, Mogo and Polgrunt.
Bakalland moves its head office to Warsaw, the capital of Poland.
The company introduced a range of new products from the world’s best plantations and established cooperation with actress Katarzyna Bujakiewicz, who became the ambassador of the Bakalland brand.
Marian Owerko became the chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Bakalland is joined by Delecta company, a producer of instant desserts, cakes, gelling mixtures and cereal coffee, the history of which dates back to 1816.
The company celebrates its 25-year presence on the Polish market.
